Swim Club

 

     Rene St Aubin began his coaching career in swimming in 1972 when he started teaching at Cedarbrae C.I. Five year later the Cedarbrae swimmers were O.F.S.S.A. swimming champions and remained Scarborough champions for the next 25 years.
     Rene has also coached the Pickering Swim Club at the developmental level. More recently Rene has been successfully coaching the Pickering Master Splashers for the last number of years bringing his wealth of swimming knowledge to the new as well as seasoned masters swimmer.

Karin has over 10 years experience teaching and coaching competitive swimming. She is a NCCP level 2 coach, a total immersion assistant instructor and has a BBA in management. She started her swimming career in the West Island’s Summer pool league ALPS as a competitive in 1988 and trained most of her career with Beaconsfield Bluefins under head coach Karim Boulos. She was a provincial level swimmer and made the Quebec Games team twice representing Lac St-Louis region. In College she trained with and under her John Abbott coach Patricia Noall.
From 1997 to 2000, she coached the 8 and under and 11-12 years old at the Beacon Hill pool and taught the Red Cross program at John Abbott pool. She managed the aquatic program for Sunny Acres Day Camp from 2001 to 2002.
She taught the Olympic Way program for both adults and children from 2005 to 2007 and the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Center. From 2006 to 2008, she was the coach for the 10 & under and Elite age group team under the supervision of Eric Quane for DDO’s satellite team, Les Citadins. On her spare time she teaches adult lessons, technique and strategies for swimmers who want to improve and achieve their swimming goals. She managed the Vaudreuil pool from 2007 to 2008 as a Leisure technician.
Presently she is an assistant coach for Pickering’s swim club and coaching Pickering Master Splashers.
